Beautiful hand built, footed pottery bowl, intricately carved with a freehand mandala design. This particular method of decoration is called sgraffito, where an image is created by carving through a layer of underglaze to reveal the color of the clay below. Underside is decorated with a delicate floral inlay. White clay with black underglaze, tea rose pink center.
All items are made by hand, by me, from start to finish. As with all handmade items, slight irregularities in size, shape, and color are to be expected, and serve only to enhance the unique beauty of each piece. No two pieces are exactly alike!
Bowl is approximately 8” across and 3” tall, and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
