Beautiful hand built pottery bowl, intricately carved with botanicals and folk art borders. This particular method of decoration is called sgraffito, where an image is created by carving through a layer of underglaze to reveal the color of the clay below. White clay with black underglaze and a vibrant red interior.
All items are made by hand, by me, from start to finish. As with all handmade items, slight irregularities in size, shape, and color are to be expected, and serve only to enhance the unique beauty of each piece. No two pieces are exactly alike!
Bowl is approximately 8” across and 2” deep, and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
