This incredible hand built pottery plate for serving or decor is intricately carved with blue and white folk, botanical inspired mandala. This particular method of decoration is called sgraffito, where an image is created by carving through a layer of underglaze to reveal the color of the clay below. The back of the piece is decorated with a colored inlay. White clay with bright, medium blue underglaze. All items are made by hand, by me, from start to finish. As with all handmade items, slight irregularities in size, shape, and color are to be expected, and serve only to enhance the unique beauty of each piece. No two pieces are exactly alike! Platter is approximately 9” across and is microwave and dishwasher safe. Ready to ship!
